Service
New roofs in tile & slate.
Full and partial re-roofs across Sunderland and the North East. 10-year written guarantee on every job.
When a roof is past repair, a full re-roof is the honest answer. We strip back, inspect timbers, replace felt and battens to current regulations, and lay new tile or natural slate - all finished with proper dry-ridge and lead flashings.
When to call us
If any of these sound familiar, it's worth a call. A free survey will tell you what's actually needed - and whether it's a repair or something bigger.
- Tiles are slipping after every storm
- Daylight visible through the loft felt
- Multiple interior leaks from different places
- Sarking felt perished or missing
- Ridge line visibly dipping or uneven
- Patching has cost more than the roof is worth
How we approach new roofs in tile & slate.
A full re-roof is a proper job - not a weekend of nailing new tiles over old felt. We start with a free survey and written quote, scaffold the property properly, strip back to the rafters, inspect every length of timber, and replace the membrane and battens to current building regulations. We never cover over problems. If a rafter is rotten, we replace it and show you the old one.
Every new roof we install includes a proper dry-ridge system (mechanically fixed, not mortar-bedded), Code-4 or Code-5 lead flashings to chimneys and abutments, and a full clean-up of the site. You get a 10-year written workmanship guarantee and the manufacturer warranty on the tile or slate - typically 30 to 75 years depending on material.
